Creating a content calendar can be challenging if you do not know what to do. In this article, we tackle the 2 steps that you need to take to create a successful content calendar.

That’s right, there are really only two steps that you need to take in order to be on your way to success in your social media content strategy.

  • Organize By Categories

The first step is to get organized by categories. You need to sit down and plan out the different categories of content that you will try to post. This could be Memes, Videos, photos, blogs, etc. however you want to categorize them by naming them something that helps you organize them. For instance, let’s say we had a pet store…we may have categories such as; grooming, training, nutrition, exercise, etc. and we may make different pieces of content to fill those categories such as a helpful video on how to properly cook food for your cat fluffy, or the best exercises for jack your terrier or maybe even have a blog dedicated to the grooming of Pauly your parrot. These are all different pieces of content organized around different categories that your consumer might want to learn more about.

  • Produce Simple Content

Do not overthink your content. People are consuming content in large amounts whether they are high-end video production budgets or just your iPhone X camera phone. When you have the different categories that you want to make content around then you can just start to create that content in the different formats (memes, videos, etc.) and then post them once you have them created.

So that’s it! It really is that simple because once you get organized you will see how helpful that is towards creating the content that your consumers will want to see. You will see your content calendar begin to fill up like crazy once you take the initial time to get a little organized and then take the next step to start creating.
