What’s up, everybody!

We’re doing something new called “Ask Noceans.” This is where we answer the questions that you, our audience, ask us. I’m going to start off with a good one today, it’s actually a very interesting question.

“What is NAPS? N.A.P.S.”

NAPS stands for Name, Address, Phone Number, and Social. This is a key element to getting good Search Engine Optimization, or SEO for your website.  Google’s looking for the name, address, phone number, and social media links on your website, so that way they can show more connectivity, and more connectivity to authoritative sources.

You want the name of your business, you want the address or where you’re located. (if you have a physical location.)  You want your phone number, but not just any phone number!  You want a clickable link, meaning whether you’re on mobile or whether you’re on desktop, if you click that link or that button, it would actually initiate the phone call. Then, you want your social media links – Facebook, Instagram, wherever you have social media presence, you want to have that linkage on there, and that is going to help your SEO help your website rank better in search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo!, and all the other one’s that exist out there.

So there you go, that’s what NAPS is! Hopefully that helps!
